Low carbs diet has proven to be quite effective as I’ve lost 2kg in 3 weeks.

Went to Windowsill Pies for tea on Good Friday.

96°C Café

We recently had the opportunity to sponsor some of Soeurs.Co & Everyday Life Store outfits and accessories to the wardrobe department of Channel 8 (our local television channel) for the web series of 96°C Café .

I’ve watched the full series and I really love the design of the cafe, which i read was designed and built from scratch specially for the drama. I’m sure the cafe would be a hit if it’s real.

We weren’t really sure which artiste would be wearing our clothes but we were pleased to see Yes 933 DJ Lin Peifen and one of the lead actress – Paige Chua, wearing our outfits.

Here are some of the screenshots I’ve taken from the webisodes.

The clothing were passed to MediaCorp around October last year, hence, most of the outfits are not available at our stores anymore.

Do go watch the web series on Xin Msn to support our local production.

Off Day Out #2

L: Hello! /  R: My OOTD – Wearing yet to launch oversized BF Shirt from Everyday Life Store

Mel and I had an picnic at the Botanic Gardens on the 8th March, yes, to celebrate Women’s Day! We didn’t specially prepare any food, just some ready-made salad from the supermarket, chips and juice, as it was an impromptu decision.

The weather was really good that day. We got to the garden about 4+pm, found a shaded spot to laze and pig out. The sky actually turned grey half way with some lightning across the sky. Even though I was scared like hell of being struck by lightning, I decided to stay put as I firmly believe that it wouldn’t rain. True enough, it didn’t rain at all and we managed to the laze on the grass till the sun went down. I am really glad that we stay put till the end.

Being a self-employed means having more freedom and flexibility but it also mean having to work whenever and where ever I am. As our company is still very small, we need to handle everything ourselves and so it becomes really difficult for us to separate work and personal time. I haven’t really had a full and proper off day since mid of last year (except cny) so I thought it might be nice and healthier that Mel and I take offs at least once or twice a month to do things that we enjoy.

We had our first official day off yesterday. Yes, on a weekday!

Our agenda for the day was to visit Bugis. The both of us walked around Bugis and Raffles City area, took lots of silly photographs and settled our dinner at Watami. We were pretty reluctant to go there initially as we had a very bad experience at the Ion’s branch where we left 20 mins upon seated as no one was free to take our orders. We are glad that we decided to give it a try again as the dinner turned out alright. The amount of food included in a 2 person set was really shocking and there’s a plate of fries that I didn’t photograph. I think the dinner was quite worth its price but maybe it would be better to be shared by 3 person instead.

I’m already looking forward to our next off day though the date has not been set yet. I’m hoping to visit the Museum or maybe go to the beach on a weekday just to watch the clouds float by… But before that, 2 more launches, 1 sourcing trip, 2 photoshoots and another 2 launches maybe?
